Coach And Fitness Model Sarah Varno
Sarah Varno is a WNBF Figure PRO Athlete, nationally and internationally published Fitness Model, Personal Trainer, Sports Nutritionist and owner of 30 Minute Fitness Personal Training. Well known for being a natural athlete, she currently runs a successful fitness studio, contributes actively as an Elite Ambassador to Syntrax Supplements and ROVUE Sneakers . As an innovative role model, exercise specialist, Sarah has been voted the " Best of MA Fitness Trainer" for the past five years. Her personal passion is getting her clients in their best shape by implementing a positive, healthy and suitable lifestyle. Sarah currently has trained over 300 clients both in person and through her focus in remote online distance training.
How did you get into fitness?
It all started when I was 5 years old. I loved sports and played all day every day until the lights came on in the street! I played soccer and basketball for 13 years each, on town teams, traveling teams, junior Olympic teams and varsity teams. When I stopped playing, I turned to the gym to stay in shape. It didn't take long to see results because I had been conditioned all those years. Working out became my new love and from there I started changing my body! Fitness was now a lifestyle I fell in love with.
What is your educational background? In 2000, graduated college with a BFA degree in graphic design. In 2002, I started fitness modeling online and even created a modeling site of my own. I did this for many years and started shooting with various fitness photographers. Many magazines published my photos and that's when I started becoming interested in photography! I remember buying my first digital camera and falling in love with taking photos. I also taught myself how to develop websites, as this wasn't an option during my college days. In 2009, I became certified and opened my own fitness studio where I help clients with their health and fitness goals. I guess you could say it's my life purpose to help people and I have a strong desire to do so.
Have you ever competed? Modeling has always been my first love, however I decided to enter into a few figure show competitions before the age of 40. In 2016, I stepped on stage for the first time. It was unfortunately a horrible experience because I didn't do my research on a good coach. Although I placed 3rd in my first show, I was deeply disappointed in my placing. Two years later, I found a much better coach who definitely had his shit together and helped me win 1st place in a huge lineup! I went on to win the overall and won my WNBF PRO card in 2018! Although it was a great experience the second time around, I didn't feel the need to continue competing. My body is super sensitive and to this day, I have different medical issues I never had before. My allergies and asthma have come out full force.
Besides fitness, what do you like to do? In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my fiance Pete, playing with our 2 pugs and 6 chickens, painting pets on canvas, traveling to Mexico to my membership resort, carving spoons out of wood, home projects, shopping, doing my nails, and more! I have always been an entrepreneur, and enjoy getting my creative juices flowing from time to time.
