Sviatopolk-Mirsky is the famous family of princes (dukes) in the Russian Empire. The family representatives were general and ministers before 1917.

There was the Civil War in Russia after the revolution of 1917. Some Russian Imperial Army officers joined the White Army and were fighting against communist regime. Some of them left Russia after 1922. Leonid Sergeevich Sviatopolk-Mirsky was the Russian Imperial Army officer. He participated the Civil War and became colonel. Leonid Sergeevich moved to Bulgaria and then to Brazil.

General Nikolaj Sviatopolk Mirsky participated in battle for Shipka pass in Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878)
which bring us the liberation.
