I got a short postcard from my friend Pillow.  She does not do computers so I doubt you would hear from her here.  I am pleased to report she is happy , with her husband now some 20 years, living in Alaska and in love with it as always.  She enjoys sewing costumes and fabric art for renaissance fairs, has a dog which she dearly loves,she volunteers assisting old folks. Last did serious lifting 13 years ago.    She tells me she misses her abs...LOL.
I was happy to hear from her and so happy to know she is healthy and happy.  Thanks Mooveeguy for getting us in touch once again.

miss training with pillow she was my mentor while getting ready for the Mr. Northern California in 1990 was when we train together. I had the honor of having her over at my apartment and she cook a meal for me bass soup. I will never forget that. Hope your still in good health.  :rock:

I once asked her given her experience in bodybuilding why she never became a trainer. She said that doing so required a maternal instinct she felt she didn't have.
Maybe she meant that she was unable to do so for women but given that she trained with the guys maybe helping guys was something she was more in tune with doing.
How strong was she? Or did she only tell you how to train?

Did the iodine and baby oil concoction ever nearly make any of you pass out? Now while Pillow had great development overall, her traps I think were amazing. Her back  in that video she did where she poses on the beach (Venice I presume) resembles the flared hood of a cobra. Alison, how enthusiastic was Pillow at winning the Gold's Classic? I gather it turned out to be a mixed bag for her.

Well I am planning to buy the video by GMV Pillow: The She Beast where it is described that her being declared winner was an emotional moment. Was it a time of her embracing or shaking hands with you and Lori Okami or just smiling, eyes welling up with tears and slumping to the stage or raising arms that have lifted heavy weights that were aching from many gym sessions along with abs burning, pectorals painful, and legs that have squatted a virtual tonnage of weight, ran on a track or treadmill, and/ or pedaled a lifecycle to further push her physique to shed any visible bodyfat.

I know on some site there is some footage of her training (or at least demonstrating exercises) in the nude and there are a few stills on some sites (including this one) but, well did anyone here ever see what she was capable of bench pressing and squatting and such? I found some videos of her while she was working as an exotic dancer it seems.

I like how she blended that with bodybuilding...would have loved to have been there to experience it in real life
