In 2028, the Goddess (as she insisted on being called) first surfaced. Apparently (as in according to herself) she had been a small, skinny girl, the daughter of two Russian farmers. One day, the nineteen year-old girl was working out in the fields when a small meteorite landed close enough to knock her off her feet. Then, as she got up, she started growing. Taller, more muscular, and all around larger, until she stood slightly over ten feet tall and muscular enough to easily eclipse the Incredible Hulk. Supposedly the meteor had been glowing when it first landed, but the glow faded as she transformed, until it was gone, as if she had absorbed something from it. After a few days of experimenting, during which her father’s shotgun failed to leave even the slightest mark on her, she decided to conquer Russia. Theories as to why ranged from after effects of her transformation to the power just going to her head. More to show off than anything, she took her time toying with the military. It took a few destroyed bases for the government to take the reports of a naked, musclebound giantess single-handedly demolishing everything in her path seriously. At that point they tried everything. Infantry, tanks, the Air Force, battleships (when she attacked naval bases) and, eventually, nuclear weapons. All the nuclear weapons they had. At the same time. After leveling the Kremlin she built a new palace where it had once been. She claimed to have considered the “dead zone,” as the area irridated by the nukes was now called (due to being too radioactive for anyone but her to survive unprotected for centuries, at best), before deciding she wanted to keep a harem. It was no secret that the governments of the world walked on eggshells around her. It was generally accepted that the main reason she was satisfied with just Russia was because that was more gratifying to her than ruling the entire world herself. So it had been for thirty years now, the Goddess not visibly aging in that time.
