Katy O’Brian plays George on Syfy channel’s Z Nation starting this year with season 5. Arguably the most muscular series regular working today - or ever. So if you had a physical specimen like her on your show, what would her wardrobe be? Tank top, sports bra, shirt with at least one missing sleeve? Try heavy leather jacket and t-shirt. Half the season is over and you'd have no clue watching the show what's lurking underneath. Hoping that changes! 11/17 Update - she finally got to take the leather jacket off, but the short sleeved t-shirt isn't doing her any favors.

Yep, they finally let her take the jacket off. She also got a nice fight scene in S07E09 Water Keepers.

Saw her on the Magnum P.I. reboot last night while flipping around before late baseball! Actually a rerun, looks like it was episode 4 from this season.

I'm of 2 minds on this, obviously it'd be cool if they let her wear skimpier outfits, but the fact someone built like her can get cast in a recurring part where she isn't showing off all the time is good progress.

Nice to see her pop up on the Mandalorian, seemingly for a few episodes at least. She was apparently on (same role) 2 years ago but I didn't recognize her at the time. Haven't seen her punch anybody, at least not yet.

It seems the Mandolorian has cast a few women now that are either muscular martial arts practitioners like Ms. O'Brian, or ex-fighters like Gina Carano. Katee Sackhoff's character has that woman warrior vibe too.

She was cast in the ant man movie as Jentorra the Warrior Queen, and the costume was a sports bra and booty shorts. It was very obvious that this choice was imposed on the costume designer. It really stood out that the rest of the cast was wearing superhero costumes or thick robes with mukluks, and O'Brian was the only character who showed any skin at all.

Getting lots of love from people who have seen it. Maybe even Oscar-worthy.

Katy O’Brian is also getting lots of praise, and not just for her muscular physique, which transforms during the movie.

I was alone in a very large (repertory) theater seeing this movie. I forgot to bring my drugs and liquor though. This is not the kind of movie you go to if you want to wank. Lift and carry fans should stay for the end titles though, as the powerful Katy O'Brian lifts the slender Kristen Stewart in several positions as the final credits roll by.

Katy O'Brian looks bigger and more muscular than in previous parts. She's also given a much bigger role and shows herself to be a talented actress. Kristen Stewart is terrific as an attendant at a grimy gym where O'Brian is working out, preparing for a bodybuilding competition. The costume designer doesn't seem to know how to realistically dress O'Brian, and has her working out in short shorts and a revealing tank top. This shows off her stunning physique, but isn’t a true-to-life portrayal of how women dressed in small town gyms in the '80s.

O'Brian wears the high cut shorts through the entire movie, even though she could have changed into borrowed clothes at any time. Her only significant wardrobe change is into her bikini for her posing routine. Stewart looks comfortable in track pants and a t-shirt. It is exploitation, to be sure, but it is written and directed by women. Proving that exploitation can be just as much fun for the ladies as it is for the chaps.

Two thumbs up. Maybe stream it instead of seeing it in a theatre.
