  • jdownloader definitely works for youtube. Not tried with DM. It's a good download tool. You should use it for all the links on this site.

I use DownloadHelper addon for youtube, DM etc though, works fine :)

  • Realplayer has a downloader plugin for browsers and it works pretty well. It has trouble with the windows streaming video player, do these others work on it? Like on the link below or is it some kind of protection that gets in the way?

  • I'm still using Jdownloader for downloading vids form Youtube and Dailymotion.
Although to download vids from Dailmotion I have to do it via Linkgrabber/add links/add urls/Parse urls and I have to find the proper vid links.. ("deep encryption"?)
It's more complicated, but still - it works

  • Dera Admir please don't delete my post because I think this hint is important for other members.

Hey, I had just found the solution for blocked youtube clips.

For example here is a link for a blocked youtube video:

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Everything what do you had to do is following:

Write between "www." and "youtube" the both letters "ss" into.

    The link look than following:

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Now you can watch or download this or other videos.

Pretty clever for a little duck. Don't you agree ?

  • Hello, All!  ^-^

When attempting to download clips from Dailymotion, and using Real Downloader, my experience is that Real DL tells me it cannot download this particular clip...this is for virtually ANY fbb related clip... AND seems to be relatively recent...

Now, I've noticed MOST fbb clips are now labeled with language something like "Clip Does not meet community guidelines." The clip will play but I can't DL to HD...via Real DL...

I sign in and deactivate my "age gate" to no avail...

I've also tried Chrome and IE...also to no avail...

    Any Thoughts!

    All The Best!  :)

  • follow these steps:
    1. Go to the dailymotion site and navigate to the video you want to download.
    2. Copy the URL of the video in your browser's address bar.
    3. Go to You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and paste the copied URL into the URL text box.
    4. Press the "Download" button next to the URL box.
    5. Click the download link of your choice in the Download Links section of the KeepVid website. A new window opens.
    6. Click to open the file with a certain program on your computer or click "Save File." Click the "OK" button. The video will start playing or will be saved to your computer, depending on your selection.

  • Hello,

There is a FireFox extension named "downloadhelper" which works fine.
  • #28 by qwqw on 27 Sep 2013
  • I usually just google youtube to avi. Is downloadhelper better? (I've never tried downloading something from dailymotion.)

  • I use keepvid.com for Youtube, as my extension doesn't allow ripping from there.

  • Take a look under the video. Both youtube and dailymotion have their own download links on most videos now.
