Need Advice on Disk Cleaner
« on: May 31, 2017, 02:44:20 am »
Hey. All!

Again I come to you seeking advice/info - To Wit: I'm looking for a method/program - "free of charge or not so free - that will safely and securely clean/wipe(?) my hard disk...(I guess by safely, I mean a program that will clean the disk and not keep a copy of the data for themselves...?)
As always, I will Very Much appreciate any info you can give, and I will K+ all posters.

Best Regards!

Totally agree - I used it on my old PC when I junked it in 2011 and a failing HDD more recently - it takes a long time (perhaps over a day if you've got a slower PC with a large HDD and not an SSD) but is VERY thorough, having many options for levels of secure wipe, including those used by the US DoD (which is what I went for).  Just make sure you leave enough time for it to do its work.
