Juliette was a phenomenal competitor throughout the 80's having won a couple of pro shows along with a few runner-up placings until she dropped in rankings in 1987, got smoked by rival competitors in 1988 and 1989 in addition to getting disqualified at the 1988 World Pro Championships. No longer could she keep up as the other girls got bigger. Unfortunate circumstances came soon after a year later when she suffered an ankle injury. Thus, calling it quits and hanging up her posing suit for good in 91. Thought to have been retired by many as she took the role of being a pro-judge and secretary/treasurer of the NBBF (Dutch Bodybuilding and Fitness federation), 12 years later she comes out of retirement only to shut down naysayers and consecutively dominate the Ms. O alongside Lenda. No doubt the beginning of the new millennium, 2001-2003, were Juliette's best and most successful years as a pro. Bigger, harder, and stronger with muscle maturity at its peak, she was at her best.
