She was not a historic champion, but she absolutely had real level: she placed 10th at the 1996 Ms. Olympia, 9th in 1997 and 1998, and even 4th at the 1999 Ms. International. To me, that speaks to a serious, consistent competitor with genuine merit. Maybe not a superstar, but definitely an athlete who deserves to be remembered with respect.
