Yes.   Sad but true.  Unfair I guess.  It just was.  Many gals persisted....others folded up camp.   If the goal was to win the medal/trophy/fame and fortune, so may girls stayed in too long for their own good.  It takes a toll mentally and physically not to mention in relationships.  If the goal is personal: ie. joy of the sport.... well then my hat's  off to them.   Gals like Mary Ellen Jarumbo.  Decades of hard work without winning the big top honor of "the best".   Those gals are to be commended.

In one of the youtube videos, Denise says during an interview  that she loves competing for the sake of being on stage and that she does it for herself...doesn't really say much since we're looking at it retrospectively.

The only few capable of this mind to muscle technique are Alina Popa and Heather Armbrust but from the generation, and from the onset of FBBing, Denise competed in none had the- or at least displayed their- capability. Even though Laura Bass and Claudia Profanter did wonders with their triceps on stage...back to Denise, I think she had this capability well before her BBing days as proven by her exotic dance videos (the one featuring her with an orange dress and white thong on)

The characteristics Denise combined simply render her flat-out inimitable.

Dude, are you obsessed with this woman or something? You talk about her as if she's superhuman when all weightlifters are just regular people. She was just someone who hit the weights, tried it, then moved on. Sorry to be blunt and I applaud you for keeping her in high opinion, but anyone can look like this if you hit the weights, plan out your schedule and diet etc and stay the course.

I think one thing that might put her at odds with the judging panel was her posing routine which veered away from what they deemed was permissible on stage and specifically I referring to her crawling in the 93 Ms Olympia which was outlawed. Anyway, she did it both at the 93 Jan Tana and Ms USA and walked away unaffected. But the Ms. O might've been a bit too far seeing as it is the most prestigious FBBing accolade.

Its slightly hard to ascertain whether or not a picture has already been posted on a thread by scrolling through posts dating back to 2009, anyways, after casual observation I don't think I've come across these two images and potentially others since I sometimes also mistake pictures posted on other sites by thinking they were posted here..

Agreed, although Denise insisted on having the best arms in the business, for her weight and stature, I think she did hands down.
