Kristy is now a scientist. Her FBB contest days are long behind her now.

Kristy has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Caltech. She also is founder/co-scientist at Antheia, a company that uses plants to create active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Seriously, Kristy Hawkins may have the greatest discipline and willpower of any human... ever.... literally spent hours developing her drop-dead gorgeous body at the same time as she graduated summa cum laude in biochemical engineering... like... how do you even manage that?!

If the Green Lanterns were real, she'd be Earth's Lantern...

Yes, Kristy was the first FBB where I realised this. There are many FBB's who are just in the sport. Trainers, working in gym, etc. But some of the most remarkable physiques belong to athletes that have other interests, who don't spend their whole lives in the gym. Kristy is to be admired, but she is not the only ultra motivated athlete out there. What about the cancer sufferers, and those suffering from other illnesses, mental, diabetes, etc,  who also refuse to be stopped and have some of their greatest achievements while recovering or undergoing treatment.

To do it, you work very long hours and train late at night or early morning, or both. But it can be done, as Kristy shows us. These are the most motivated and inspirational athletes, even more than the ones that work in a gym anyway. Because it leaves no excuse for the rest of us who tend to say, even if only sometimes,  "I have no time to go to the gym".
Balance between Gym, study, work, other interests, can lead to the most success.

As pretty as Kristy was as a bodybuilder, she has transformed into one of the world's best powerlifters- she still looks fabulous-- just a bit thicker with muscle. She no longer  is seen posing for pictures while flexing in a bikini. But there are many videos on @I-gram of Kristy working out for power lifting-- and occasionally you get a  good glimpse of her huge muscular legs and  her very thick shoulders, chest and arms. She would be  more than a handful for most of us.
