IFBB Pro Collin Fischer

At the 1988 Winter Olympics held in Canada, Calgary to be exact, viewers were treated to the debut of a special athlete. During the span of 1988-94 when three Winter Olympiads were held, Bonnie Blair was undefeated in the 500 meter Speed Skating event meaning she went three for three in Gold medal attempts. Of course its up to debate but it can be said that Bonnie Blair is one of the all-time greatest amateur athletes in a chosen sport that did not cash in as a Pro. Between 1995-97, Collin Fischer went three for three as well except her competition was wearing posing suit bikinis instead of single bladed skates. In 1995, Fischer made her stage debut in a big way by winning the overall in women's bodybuilding at the NPC New York City BB championships. Then, in 1996, she conquered the NPC Atlantic States Show by again taking the overall. In 1997, in an annually tough NPC Nationals show Collin beat out Brenda Raganot for the middleweight class win and earned her Pro card in doing so. Interesting side note to the '97 show was that it was the only Nats appearance for reigning Ms. Olympia Iris Kyle who placed fourth among the heavyweights. Now we flash forward to 2007 and this past March's Arnold Classic. Fischer who is a student at Syracuse University pursuing a Ph. D. in Bio-Chemistry, was in attendance and took time to do a photo shoot with uber-talented photographer GeneX and hinted at the idea of a comeback is in the making. So maybe Collin could do something Bonnie Blair never had the opportunity to do....that would be to win the Gold as a Pro.
