Seems to  me this is one gal that should  have stayed in the limelight  for years and years .....etc.....like Cory and Rachael.   Outstanding !!!!!

Given she was never the largest bodybuilder, but was very attractive both facially and in terms body shape/general femininity (very photogenic), I wonder if she would've done better if the new "Physique" division was around back when she competed in the 1990s?  Quite a lot of good, but not big female bodybuilders (especially the LW, MW and smaller HW competitors, who often never got a look in following them turning pro) would've done quite well in Physique, given that most (unlike an increasing number of competitors today) back then were very well conditioned (without looking emaciated) on stage.  Definitely the sort of woman that photographers and sponsors alike would like today!

On Laura Bass and Physique success....I agree.    We'll never know.  I tend to think as well  that it's entirely possible that that's where FBB is in fact headed in terms of mainstream popurarity.  Only time will tell.   Public concensus on steroid use, marketability, profit margins for sponsors will definately play in as to whether we see further growth of the more profound muscularly developed women in contests....or a return to the Laura Bass look as the untimate ideal.

As I have mentioned ad nauseum, I saw her live back at the Arnold Expo in '96. Spectacularly good looking woman. What surprised me about her was how accomodating and friendly she was. Most really beautiful women tend to be really guarded, paricularly around young males, but not Laura. Very outgoing and charismatic personality.
