"My good friend and ace historian, Joe Roark, has informed me that Lynn Conkwright, women’s bodybuilding pioneer has passed away at age 63, in Virginia Beach. No more details at this time. Lyn won the Women’s World Championships in 1981 and that year’s World Mixed Pairs championship with Chris Dickerson. She was third at the 1981 Miss Olympia. For many years (from early 1990s to early 200os) she was she was in charge of the signed athletes at Weider. A vivacious personality she used her gymnastic skills to good effect. So sad. RIP sweet Lynn."
