Angelina at the 2009 Worlds. She came 12th in the under 55kg class, a drop of 2 places on last year. I hope this does not put her off competing.....

Some new candids and contest pics. I admire the Russian FBB's. They are not well thought of in Russia, even amongst the male bodybuilders. Fitness is preferred, so it's amazing there any Russian FBB's at all. Angelina is a great athlete, and I'm glad she is sticking with it despite the lack of moral support in Russia. She hopes to compete in the worlds again, but finances may prevent this from happening for a while.

I last chatted to her on a Russian bodybuilding  forum about 2 years ago now ( she was getting a hard time from other male bodybuilders, so I was sticking my big nose in and telling the "hunks" that she was an asset to their country, not someone to be mocked for being a muscular girl). She was trying to get advise re diet etc, but not getting much positive help. Anyway, she still planned to compete again but could not afford to go the the Women's World Champs, which were in Mexico that year. I hope we see her again soon. She is not very active on bodybuilding forums that I can find, so no more news from me. I introduced Angelina to Marina Lemenovskaya on Facebook and they became friends, but Angelina has not accepted my friend request... 

A few more candids lurking in my file, some date back to 2006 as you can see..
The last 3 were taken in July this year, Angelina looks to be in good shape, so there is hope she may reappear.
