In 1988 and the women Body builders were getting bigger, more muscular and more densely defined than ever before. Helping to usher in this era was the glamorous Tommie Moreau, who shocked the bodybuilding world with a level of muscularity NEVER seen on a woman. She was highly developed in every body part, the arms and legs are just beyond belief, and many ,thought she could have won a men’s contest.

Here are some pictures of her back then and today. Even though she lost her size, she still managed to stay fit retaining some muscle.

In the interview portion of WPW 104 - shot in 1988, Tommie said she was 25. She would be 51 now.

At that time she was 5'4 - 155, 15 inch arms, 24 inch thighs and 16 inch calves. Looks like the arms are still solid.

She was ahead of her time.  When it all started it was all about getting cut.  Steve W. muttered a comment once that I thought was right on and prophetic.  He said, "It's body BUILDING, not body WASTING.  Clearly Tommi was a Builder.  I have a couple of hundred photos of her taken at that show in Las Vegas.

Several years later Steve encountered her again.  He said that at that time she was operating an S&M clothing store.

This was hardcore female bodybuilding at its finest. I remember seeing her at Jr. Nats in NOLA in 1990. I was so awestruck I forgot her name!
