It's a very interesting development, I wonder if she's going to dominate the big Wings of Strength money show or if we'll finally see a changing of the guard.

if you must know, i feel her dominance was one of the worst things that could have happened to fbb .who wants to attend a show where you know beforehand who the winner will be?

I second that.

No one can touch her really on a bodybuilding stage but I was never a fan myself.  I'd like to see somebody new on top, whatever that is now for female bodybuilding.

While I don't have too big of a problem of Iris competing in WoS next year, hopefully Alina Popa will give her a run for her money when she enters it.

Forget it, the Margie Martin dynasty has begun.

I went to this past WOS but with her back in the mix I won't go next year.

Forget it, the Margie Martin dynasty has begun.

I wonder if the IFBB and their judges decide who's going to win prior to the contest, especially if (as it seems) they are prejudiced against FBB and wish it to die, hence why the more 'photogenic' competitors like Alina often end up as the bridesmaid and never the bride (as she deservedly should've done in my view at the last Ms. O in 2014).  That's not taking anything away from Ms. Martin's accomplishment at the WoS end-of-year champs this year, but Alina was better at the 2014 Ms. O, and if she turns up in the the same condition in 2016 she should win.  All the vast majority of us want is a level playing field and for the judges to give athletes clear and sensible guidance well before contests as to the look they're going for (after agreement with all interested parties), stick with it until changes are required after the competitions have ended for that year and judge fairly based on the criteria set.

If Iris is getting bored (she can't be coming back for the money - even if its now higher than before, its not that high) in her 'retirement', then I'd be happy for to make a comeback, again as long as the judging treats her in the same way as the other women competing.  What I would say is that the sport needs both great top competitors, but also a consistently good crop of amateurs turning pro so we don't get the same old (literally) faces turning up at the major pro contests and wiping the floor, because they came through when there was more money and support available, and as such get a significant advantage over the newer pros.  Maybe a contest just involving newer pros (say those who've only been a pro for under 2-3 years) with decent money might help encourage some into the upper echelons of the pro FBB division, as well as making the judging criteria favour more feminine shapes/appearance than just huge ripped muscle.  New (and sustained long term) sponsors will not be attracted to (or back to) female bodybuilding contests if we just have the 'old guard' there ad infinitum.
