Just browsed this thread. What amazed me is that she won the Canadian Lightweight Championship title, and then grew so much. I do have a sheet of slides of her posing in a hotel gym after this show. (And, FWIW, I'm never going to park my photos on some server farm.)
Scott Abel at that time was married to Jennifer Abel who, if I remember correctly, competed as a middleweight. (Just checked. I have a sheet of slides of Jennifer.) Then suddenly, Jennifer was gone and Scott was with Laura. I'm not sure if they ever married or not, but they were together for a long time (in BB terms). They trained a team and came to contests with cowbells that they clanged when one of their team members was on stage.
After she became BIG, she told me that she was training to enter a marathon. Definitely not the physique of a marathoner. I just looked askance at her when she told me of this plan. She had that great smile and an always positive personality. I don't know if she followed through on this idea.
She told me that she liked the way she looked when she was BIG. She didn't care how she placed at contests. What was paramount was achieving her own goals regarding appearance.
